I chose this hotel because:
- it is close to the town center
- has a lovely pool area
- there are large common areas where we can gather
and not have to rent spaces to casually hang out
- has a children’s day camp-fee based

We figured anyone coming to the Residence will already be in Dublin on Tuesday night so lets get the party started early!
For those interested, Kevin and Dena will host a tour of the U.S Ambassadors Residence in Dublin. The time will be determined as the date draws near, guessing around 5 -7 p.m.
DINNER after the Tour
Those interested can meet @ O'Niels in Dublin (near the Castle). We will all get our dinner individually and drinks so nothing group to plan. They have music and dancing nightly and it is quite large.

GETTING TO WESTPORT from DUBLIN ON WEDNESDAY
There are public busses and trains & the drive is an easy one. The current cost of the train is €14 and it serve food & beverages of all kinds- which might be fun option. I am working on getting a car on the train reserved for us.

bridge in Westport |
County Mayo is a beautiful area of the country and Westport is a charming, totally walkable city. The area is very popular spot for recreational activities. A drive to Conemmara and The Wild Atlantic Way is truly worth the effort.
We are only going to plan one activity and assume everyone else can make themselves happy.
THURSDAY June 30, 2016 TRIP TO CLOONOFER

Birthplace of Grandpa O'Malley |
We will arrange for a bus take us to the site for those interested. There will be a small charge for the bus but I have not gotten that far yet and believe Lizzie O’Malley (Ed) will be on this detail. More to come on this but this will be the only planned activity other than food, drink and cavorting.
WEBSITE:
Dennis & Mary Lu O’Malley’s daughter (Jim), Beth Brand and her husband, have spent a great deal of time developing this website to help us all stay in contact. It shares some of the history we have learned in the last few months. How we came upon this information will take far too long to tell you but having the Ambassador in our family was helpful.
This is a private website, meaning it cannot be viewed unless Beth or I authorize the user. We will attempt to give access to those we know but if one of your family members wants to view this, please give us the email and we will add them to the users. We will post additional details as they become available, so check back.
So, these are the basics at this time with more specific details to follow in the next weeks. I hope this is enough to begin your planning and committing.
Now, I need some things from you. I have absolutely no idea how many people we are talking about. It would help a bit to get some basic information.
Can you complete this and return to me?
